“I support the Second Amendment unequivocally and believe that a law-abiding, armed citizenry is the greatest defense against criminality and tyranny. But I also believe we must take steps to ensure those experiencing mental health crises do not have access to weapons that can be used in mass casualty events,” McNally said in a statement.

The Justice Department had, until now, rejected the Committee’s requests for the documents, citing ongoing investigations. 

“The Committee … is investigating allegations that the Biden Administration interfered in the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) authorization and licensure of the COVID-19 vaccines,” Rep. Thomas Massie (R-Ky) wrote.

“The DNC will be holding their 2024 convention in Chicago,” Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.) tweeted. “Will they be providing complimentary bulletproof vests?”

Reuters reported on Wednesday that the leaks included a document that exposed the “assessed positions” of 38 European governments on providing military assistance, including lethal aid, to Ukraine.
