The autoworker strike against the Big Three U.S. carmakers is reportedly over.

Reuters reported earlier today that GM, the last holdout of the Detroit companies, reached a tentative deal with United Autoworkers.

The union struck agreements last week with both Ford Motor Company and Stellantis – the umbrella company over Chrysler, Jeep, and Ram. That contract will see employees receive a 25% pay bump with cost-of-living allowances. Following these announcements, UAW then expanded strikes against GM factories over the weekend.

The details of the final agreement have not been reported, but union president Shawn Fain is already looking ahead to 2028. He’s setting contracts to expire on April 30 of that year and urging other unions to also align with this date to, in his words, collectively flex their muscles.
