Donald Trump’s listing on the 2024 Presidential ballot might be at risk.

Colorado and Minnesota are taking up lawsuits this week that seek to bar Trump from the presidency based on the “insurrection” clause in the 14th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution.

The Colorado case begins today. A Denver court is hearing arguments brought by Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics on behalf of six voters who claim Trump’s actions during the January 6th capitol riot are disqualifying for the presidency.

Meanwhile, the Minnesota Supreme Court is hearing a similar oral argument on Thursday. Both cases could go all the way to the Supreme Court.

These aren’t the only states looking to take Trump off the ballot. Similar lawsuits are also underway in New Hampshire, Arizona, and Michigan. Trump has denounced the challenges as “nonsense” and “election interference.”
