Hamas and Israel are pointing fingers over last night’s explosion at a Gaza hospital that killed more than 500 people.
Palestinian officials were quick to blame Israel for the strike, but Israel denied it was responsible. Their intelligence suggested the strike was actually a misfired rocket shot by a Palestinian terror group. Israel has since released Hamas audio appearing to confirm this is the case.
It wouldn’t be the first time something like this happened. Human Rights Watch, says back in May, a Palestinian rocket misfired above the Gaza Strip, killing seven people.
President Joe Biden acknowledged the explosion and seemed to agree with Israeli intelligence.
In response to the strike, Lebanese terror group Hezbollah is calling for today to be a day of “unprecedented anger” at Israel and the U.S.
Last night, Lebanese demonstrators surrounded the U.S. embassy in Beirut and lit a nearby building on fire. The State Department has since authorized a voluntary departure for non-emergency embassy personnel and issued a Do Not Travel advisory for Lebanon.
