Even in the midst of war, we can find incredible reminders of the miracle of salvation through Jesus Christ.

Afshin Javid was a devout Muslim who read the Quran cover to cover every 10 days. He was also a Hezbollah terrorist fighter for three years. Earlier this week he told his story to the Christian Broadcast Network.

He was on his way to the States to convert Christians to Islam when he was arrested in Malaysia. While there, he saw a man radiating pure light appear to him in his jail cell.

Javid’s life was forever changed when this man of light said to him, “I forgive you.” Javid describes his experience as having gone from a man being colorblind with hate to seeing vivid color through the lens of love.

Javid then ended the interview with a powerful prayer for those on both sides of the war: divine protection for Israel and salvation for Muslims.
