President Joe Biden’s campaign announced he raised over $70 million in the quarter that ended on Sept. 30.
The president now has $91 million in cash on hand, according to Sunday’s announcement, which is the highest-ever total by a Democrat at this point in the election cycle.
The Biden campaign team was quick to point out that Biden outpaced Republicans. Trump brought in around $46 million while DeSantis stalled out at 15.
Biden campaign manager Julie Chavez Rodriquez stated the numbers “speak to very real enthusiasm and support.”
But there’s some deception involved in the math. Biden’s numbers included donor receipts to the Democrat National Convention and other party entities. Trump’s campaign report did not benefit from the national GOP.
