Wednesday, days after the deadly assault on Israel, President Joe Biden gave a speech condemning Hamas and reaffirming U.S. support for Israel

Biden says more military assistance is on the way, including interceptors and ammunition for Israel’s Iron Dome.

The president also confirmed the deaths of 14 Americans at the hands of Hamas, but we’re now learning that the number has since risen to 22. Biden says the U.S. now knows American citizens are also being held hostage.

National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan says over 20 Americans are still missing, but said it’s unclear how many have been taken hostage.
