U.S. Senator Dianne Feinstein has passed away at the age of 90. Her office said she died Thursday night at her home in Washington, D.C.

Reactions have poured in from many colleagues in politics. President Joe Biden called Senator Feinstein “a pioneering American” and “a cherished friend.”

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer lauded her career as the first woman in many different positions, including mayor of San Francisco and Senator from California. House Speaker Kevin McCarthy also had kind words for her Friday morning.

We offer our prayers for her family and loved ones as they grieve her loss.
