Attorney General Merrick Garland denied the existence of a two-tiered justice system before the House Oversight Committee Wednesday. In his opening remarks, he denied that his job was to protect the current president or to work for Congress.
Congressional Republicans have been probing the Biden family for corruption and influence peddling. Chief among those concerns are whistleblower claims that the department interfered in an investigation into Hunter Biden to protect the Biden family name.
Meanwhile, the department is actively prosecuting Republican frontrunner Donald Trump with multiple felonies.
