On Tuesday, House Oversight Chair James Comer (R-Ky.) issued subpoenas to Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas along with three DHS employees and two members of the Secret Service.
Comer is seeking more information relating to whistleblower claims that in 2020 the Biden Transition team and the Secret Service were tipped off about the FBI’s plan to interview Hunter Biden concerning tax fraud allegations.
That tip came in the day before the interview was set to take place. As a result, the interview never happened. Comer says the incident is just one example of obstruction in the Biden probe.
A spokesperson tells the Daily Wire that DHS will comply with the subpoenas, though they denied Comer’s obstruction allegations.
