Former President Donald Trump isn’t being scared off by the Georgia election indictment. Instead, he plans to use it as an opportunity to make his case, yet again, that the 2020 election was stolen.
Posting on Truth Social the former president said, “A Large, Complex, Detailed but Irrefutable REPORT on the Presidential Election Fraud which took place in Georgia is almost complete.” He intends to present that report next Monday at 11 a.m. at his golf club Bedminster, New Jersey.
But Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp is pushing back and has posted a statement of his own saying, “The 2020 election in Georgia was not stolen.” Kemp added, “For nearly three years now, anyone with evidence of fraud has failed to come forward… and prove anything in a court of law.”
Meanwhile, controversy surrounds the indictment itself. An office clerk for the Fulton County court system now admits they accidentally posted a working copy of the indictment hours before the Grand Jury’s ruling. Trump’s legal team says the mistake is evidence of a rushed indictment.
