Thirteen Christians have been released from an East African prison.

The Voice of the Martyrs confirmed the group’s release after 10 years of false imprisonment. The news comes after the organization had asked supporters to pray specifically for two pastors who have been in prison for 19 years in the country of Eritrea.

VOM also asked Christians to email the Eritrean embassy on behalf of the persecuted believers.

Back in 2002, the Eritrean government shut down most evangelical churches in the country, forcing many to go underground. Unfortunately, an estimated 400 Christians, including the two pastors, are still unlawfully imprisoned in the country.
