An amazing sting operation resulted in the rescue of more than 100 victims of human trafficking and could bring hundreds to justice.
The FBI’s two-week-long mission, “Operation Cross Country,” helped agents identify or arrest 126 suspects connected to child sexual exploitation. That’s in addition to almost 68 suspected human traffickers.
According to the Christian Post, the FBI found 59 victims of child sex trafficking along with 59 missing children. The average age was 15, but the youngest was just 11 years old.
Last year, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children received more than 19,000 reports of possible child sex trafficking.
The topic has received increased attention since the massive box office success of the “Sound of Freedom.” The Christian film on sex trafficking made over $130 million since its release last month.
