The majority of praying Americans report that at least one of their prayers were answered this past year.

According to a new poll, 87% of poll respondents to a poll say they saw an answered prayer in the past twelve months. The poll itself was taken by more than 1,700 Americans.

The results also show that Americans pray an average of 18 minutes each day. Now, it should be noted that not all these Americans believe in the God of the Bible. However, 84% pray in faith that God hears their prayers regardless of their beliefs.

While this news should be an encouragement to pray more boldly, it’s important to keep a scriptural perspective on this. If God always answered prayers the way we want, then Jesus never would have died for our sins. Sometimes God says “yes,” while other times He says “no” or “wait.”

But no matter what He answers, we can always trust that He will provide exactly what we need.
