A top Israeli official is warning that Iran now has enriched enough uranium to produce five nuclear weapons.

The Israel defense minister said on Thursday that the Islamic nation already has enough Uranium enriched to the 20% and 60% levels to create five nuclear bombs.

Although these weapons require a 90% enrichment level, experts say the hardest part of that is reaching the 20% threshold.

Meanwhile, the United Nations nuclear watchdog group warned earlier this year that Iran had already enriched uranium particles up to 83.7%. The Islamic nation, of course, denied this report.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned a bipartisan group of U.S. lawmakers on Thursday that Iran’s goals go beyond making the weapons.

Israel has previously threatened to strike Iran if the nation continues its nuclear development.

President Joe Biden has failed repeatedly to secure a new nuclear agreement with Iran. However, National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan said on Friday they still believe this is the best route.

But Sullivan did affirm that Israel has “freedom of action” to take measures against Iran.
