The White House is quietly ending vaccine mandates next Thursday, but they don’t want to talk about it.
President Joe Biden started his federal COVID-19 vaccine mandate in September 2021, saying his “patience was growing thin.” The mandate primarily affected federal employees, contractors, and international travelers. But a Monday announcement says the jab will no longer be necessary when the public health emergency expires on May 11.
But White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre doesn’t have a lot of answers for what this really means.
She gave a similar answer when asked about rehiring White House employees who refused the vaccination.
In recent months, the Biden Administration has become more open on how they oversold the vaccine’s abilities. Dr. Anthony Fauci published a paper in January that admits vaccines cannot provide full immunity for respiratory viruses.
Last month, he also admitted the mandate also fueled an anti-vaccination movement.
