The UN facing backlash here in the U.S. Earlier this month, the UN Human Rights Council released a shocking report. It recommended ending age of consent laws, which say children are not capable of giving consent for sexual acts.
Now, seven Republican senators are calling on America’s ambassador to the U.N. Linda Thomas Greenfield to immediately oppose the report.
They say the report “flies in the face” of laws around the world and “gives credence to abhorrent pedophiles and sexual predators.”
The Senators say it goes against global trends moving to better protect children. They also asked the ambassador to rescind taxpayer money that may have supported the report.
