Concern over the so-called “Trans Day of Vengeance” has led to the controversial event being cancelled due to a “credible threat to life and safety.”

Our Rights DC is the group behind the event. It said the cancellation was directly related to the shooting in Nashville.

It said there was a “flood of raw hatred directed toward the trans community” after learning that the Nashville shooter identified as transgender.

The day was meant to be a continuation of President Biden’s “Transgender Day of Visibility,” which takes place today.

In a statement from the White House, Biden called out state laws which he said are “targeting transgender youth, terrifying families, and hurting kids who are not hurting anyone.”

White House made similar comments yesterday.
