Many workers are feeling the magic as Disney as the company has begun its layoff of 7,000 employees.
One of these layoffs even includes Marvel Entertainment Chairman Isaak Perlmutter. Perlmutter sold Marvel to Disney for $4 billion in 2009.
Disney said at the time that Perlmutter would continue to oversee Marvel properties, but he didn’t get to have much of a say in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
He was also reportedly upset with Disney’s financial performance under its former chief executive, Bob Chapek.
Meanwhile as returning CEO Bob Iger cleans house, Disney World Florida continues to fight with Governor Ron DeSantis.
The Florida mega-theme park mixed itself in politics last year by opposing the governor’s Parental Rights in Education bill. As a result the park lost its special districting agreement with the state.
Board members appointed by DeSantis to oversee the Disney district now say the old board passed restrictive measures before leaving, limiting their influence.
