Even this late in the season brutal winter storms are still hammering parts of the country.

After a month-long string of late-winter storms, both California and the Northeast are bracing for another bout of heavy rains, winds, and snow this week.

California is predicting 10 inches of rainfall. The rain, along with melting snow from the mountains could lead to flooding. The new storm is also expected to dump another 3 to 5 feet of snow at higher elevations.

Meanwhile, parts of Pennsylvania up into Maine are expecting as much as 16 inches of snow, along with winds of up to 45 miles per hour.
