Thankfully there aren’t any slaps to report on this year, but the biggest piece of news coming from the night revolves around the movie “Everything Everywhere All at Once.”
The film won the coveted best picture trophy at the Academy Awards as well as six others, including three of the four acting awards becoming the third film in Oscar history to do so.
In addition, many outlets are reporting that the film is the most-awarded movie in history with a total of 158 accolades and nominations combined.
This dethroned the previous record-holder: “The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King” which had 101 major accolades.
