A rally to raise awareness about the growing community of people who have disavowed their transgender identity is set to be held at the California State Capitol this week.
Organized by OurDuty, a nonpartisan support network for parents who wish to protect their children from gender ideology, the highly anticipated “Detrans Awareness Day,” is projected to be the largest detransition gathering to date, and is scheduled for Friday, March 10 in Sacramento.
“The event is geared toward raising awareness of the growing population of minors and adults harmed by gender ideology and the chemical and surgical sex change services they hastily received due to the “affirmative” model of transgender care embraced by United States medical organizations,” Christina Buttons reported for the Daily Wire.
The rally has garnered support from the community of formerly trans-identifying individuals, particularly Chloe Cole, who has appeared on numerous platforms across conservative media in opposition to the medical system’s exploitation of gender-confused or insecure children.
For Detrans Awareness Day 2023, I am working to hold a rally at The California Capitol in Sacramento on March 10th.
Our goal is to host the largest detrans rally ever!
I have already confirmed @onedonebun and @OfficialAbelG to come to Cali but we need https://t.co/OaoGnHeN4P…

Cole, who was medically and surgically transitioned between the ages of 13 and 15, has gained national recognition for her outspoken stance on the harmful effects of the “gender affirmation” approach and represents the overall expansion of the detransition movement as a whole.
Those within the movement have been transparent about the vitriol received by self-identifying trans-activists, who have gone as far as to offer death threats to those who are speaking out against transgender ideology and practice.
Violent extremist #Antifa group @pridewasariot_ appears to be dogwhistling violence against an upcoming event on March 10 in Sacramento to bring awareness to those who have detransitioned. The group has previously organized & praised hate-motivated attacks.https://t.co/2jN05x7zw7 pic.twitter.com/yAX2cODOof

Yet, Cole said her resolve will not waver.
“I’ve never been more encouraged to keep raising awareness. I lost my entire teenage life to a political ideology, it’s going to take a lot more than Antifa to stop me.”
Support for the detransition community continues to grow, and as previously reported by FISM, a detransition Reddit thread with just under 45,000 members offers a community for those who are currently reeling with the consequences of surgical or medical transitions and the physicians who wish to offer support and aid to them.
