Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, openly praised Hitler during a Thursday interview in a continued escalation of antisemitic comments. Early this morning, he was also banned from Twitter for inciting violence.
The rapper wore a black mask that covered his entire face throughout the entire 3-hour interview on the “Alex Jones Show.” To the clear discomfort of Jones, Ye praised the German dictator responsible for the Holocaust as bringing value to the world, while again pointing to what he perceives as evils perpetrated by Jewish people in the entertainment business.
“I see good things about Hitler, also. I love everyone, and Jewish people are not going to tell me, ‘You can love … us. You can love what we’re doing to you with the contracts and you can love what we’re pushing with the pornography, but this guy that invented highways, invented the very microphone that I use as a musician, you can’t say out loud that this person ever did anything good.’ And I’m done with that. I’m done with the classifications. Every human being has something of value that they brought to the table, especially Hitler,” Ye said.
He further said the Nazis “did good things too.”
Hitler’s policies led to the genocidal murder of millions of Jews, and millions more suffered as prisoners during World War II. His immense evil is so notorious that his name is used to label those who perceivably spread the hatred, bigotry, prejudice, and violence that he promoted and lead during his time in power.
None of these deaths or evil were enough to dissuade Ye from stating that he liked Hitler.
The statements are the most overt antisemitic comments Ye has made to date. His eccentric behavior and accusations that a Jewish minority takes advantage of black people in the entertainment industry led to the cancellation of his sponsorship contract with Adidas last month.
Ye appeared on the “Alex Jones Show” alongside his alleged presidential campaign assistant Nick Fuentes, who has made several high-profile public appearances with Ye in recent weeks. Fuentes has also been condemned for insensitive jokes and for denying the Holocaust. Fuentes has stated that he does not actually deny that the Holocaust happened.
Jones is a controversial figure himself, known for his show and his website, InfoWars.com, which often promotes bizarre conspiracy theories. His claims that the U.S. government either fabricated or outright lied about the 2012 Sandy Hook Elementary School mass shooting have recently led to him losing numerous civil cases. Jones has been ordered to pay a total of nearly $1.5 billion to victims of the shooting and their families in multiple cases.
Jones attempted but struggled to find any common ground with Ye and Fuentes on the subject of Nazis during the interview. Jones said he didn’t think Hitler was a good guy and called the Nazis “thugs.” The host’s attempts to steer Ye into less tumultuous waters seemed to only push the rapper further down the path of Nazi admiration, though.
Jones said he understands Ye — as a fashion designer — liking things that Nazi Germany produced, such as “the Hugo Boss uniforms,” but not him praising the Nazi leaders themselves.
“No. There are a lot of things I love about Hitler,” Ye responded.
Alex Jones desperately tries to get Kanye West to clarify that he doesn't actually love Hitler … but nope.

Jones did, however, join Ye in criticizing decisions made by Israel.
Jones compared Israel’s COVID-19 policies — which include some of the strictest vaccine and booster mandates in the world — to the work of Josef Mengele, a Nazi doctor known for his cruel and bizarre human experiments. Mengele in particular had a fascination with human twins and subjected Jewish twins to tortures like unnecessary amputations and injections of deadly diseases.
Twitter suspension
Early Friday morning, Ye received a temporary 12-hour Twitter ban. He posted an image of the ban to his Truth Social account.
“I tried my best. Despite that, he again violated our rule against incitement to violence. Account will be suspended,” Twitter owner and CEO Elon Musk stated.
Musk recently took over Twitter after voicing concerns that the social media platform was hindering free speech and interfering with U.S. elections. The temporary banning of Ye led some users to call Musk a hypocrite and demand to know how exactly the rapper had incited violence.
Musk has not yet revealed the exact infraction.
Some speculated that Ye had been banned for posting a Swastika image laid over the top of a star of David. Others pointed out that the image shared was a “legit symbol” for a UFO religion known as Raëlism.
Ye and Fuentes have made headlines together recently, including the well-publicized Mar-a-Lago dinner which has garnered Trump much criticism. The former president denies knowing who Fuentes — an unannounced and unexpected guest of West — was and has said neither Fuentes nor West made antisemitic comments that night.
The pair also appeared on the Tim Pool Daily Show on Monday in which West stormed off-set after host Tim Pool questioned his antisemitic views.
