The pervasiveness of the nationwide indoctrination of minors into transgender ideology by schools, LGBTQ groups, and even the White House is reflected in an alarming new report that youth chest surgeries has increased by nearly 400% in only a three-year span.
The Journal of the American Medical Association released a report on Monday exploring the number of gender transition “top” surgeries between 2016 and 2019 through an analysis of data from the Nationwide Ambulatory Surgery Sample. Transgender chest surgeries include female breast removal and male chest augmentation.
The report found that the number of chest reconstruction surgeries performed on minors increased from about 100 in 2016 to 489 in 2019, a 389% increase in three years.
The median age of surgery recipients was 16 years old, with 5.5% under the age of 14. The report did not include data on sex organ or “bottom” surgeries.
‘No evidence’ trans surgeries, therapies safe for children
The increase comes despite the fact that a reputable pediatric association has produced evidence that such surgeries can cause harm to minors.
The American College of Pediatricians issued a report titled “Transgender Interventions Harm Children” in which they list a multitude of deleterious effects of gender-affirming treatments and concluded that there is “no evidence that transgender interventions are safe for children.”
While puberty blockers have been touted as a benign “pause” on puberty, the report cautioned that there are negative long- and short-term effects of taking these and cross-sex hormone medications, including “osteoporosis, mood disorders, seizures, cognitive impairment and when combined with cross-sex hormones, sterility.” Additionally, the medical organization states that cross-sex hormones come with “an increased risk of heart attacks, stroke, diabetes, blood clots and cancers across their lifespan.”
Given the overwhelming evidence of the devastating consequences these transgender interventions can inflict on adolescents, it is perhaps unsurprising that hospitals and clinics profiting from them have tried desperately to conceal the fact from the public.
Boston Children’s Hospital, for example, repeatedly lied when it claimed that it did not perform trans surgeries on minors, while a Vanderbilt transgender clinic was caught on tape touting adolescent transgender medical care as a “big money maker,” despite a massive effort to destroy any communications on the topic that could fall under public scrutiny.
