Children’s National Hospital in Washington, D.C. is under fire after Libs of Tik Tok recorded a phone call in which multiple employees confirm that the hospital offers hysterectomies for minors.

Libs of Tik Tok creator Chaya Raichik posted the call to Twitter, in which she posed as a mother seeking a hysterectomy for her 16-year-old daughter. In the call, two different employees confirmed that a 16-year-old could, in fact, get the procedure at the hospital.

When asked if the hospital performing hysterectomies on minors was common, one employee said, “Yes, we have all different types of age groups that come in for that.”

After Raichik pressed her on the youngest age at which the hospital would offer the procedure, the employee responded, “I’m not sure, but I have seen younger kids… Due to HIPAA I’m not allowed to say that, but I have seen younger kids, younger than your [16-year-old] child’s age.”

Libs of Tik Tok also posted screenshots of the hospital’s website, which said that Children’s National provides, “Gender-affirming medical care and gender-affirming hysterectomy” to patients aged 0-21. The hospital later updated the page to remove that entry from the list.

A spokesperson for the hospital pushed back on the report, telling Fox News Digital that the recording “reflects a call with hospital operators, not anyone who delivers care to our patients,” and that the page stating that the hospital offered hysterectomies to minors “was a flaw in the design of our website.”

In a statement, the hospital said, “We are aware of the audio recording circulating on Twitter. Here are the facts: We foster a welcoming and inclusive environment for all, serving our LGBTQ+ patients and families in the full spectrum of their care. We do not provide gender-affirming surgery for anyone under the age of 18.”

This is not the first time Libs of Tik Tok has exposed a children’s hospital for offering gender transition surgery to minors. Earlier this month, Raichik posted screenshots of Boston Children’s Hospital’s website stating that they offered gender confirmation surgery to 17 year olds. The hospital denied the claim and later revised its website to say that the procedure was not available to patients under 18.

Yet despite the denials, it appears that hospitals across the country are discreetly performing gender transition surgeries on minors. The Washington Stand has compiled a list of 13 hospitals that offer gender-affirming surgical options to patients under 18.

While those on the left accuse Libs of Tik Tok of being transphobic and putting hospital workers’ lives at risk, Raichik explains her reasoning behind exposing these hospitals, writing,

‘Gender-affirming hysterectomy’ is a fancy euphemism for the carving out of girl’s (sic) reproductive system because she’s confused about her identity. It is a permanent, irreversible procedure that makes it impossible for her to bear children later in life. These barbaric procedures on minors need to be criminalized. Instead, they’re being promoted and widely encouraged — at least until you draw attention to that fact.
