Last week, on Christmas Eve, while millions of Americans were celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ, a new staffer for Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) was posting anti-Israel rhetoric to his social media page.

Fox News was the first to report since they were able to gain access to the post from the staffer’s private Instagram page.

The post that the staffer, Husain Altamimi, posted to his Instagram story came from a page called Let’s Talk Palestine. That specific post was Christmas themed, with the prompt, “What if Jesus Was Born Today in Bethlehem?”

In the comments they said, “Jesus: A Case Study for Israeli Apartheid. Merry Christmas! Christmas is a Palestinian Holiday!”

They seemingly ignore the fact that Christmas is a Christian holiday, for all Christians regardless of nationality. They do include #Christianity in their comment’s hashtags. The post garnered over 21,000 likes.

Altamimi posted a section that said, “This reveals the principle underpinning Israeli apartheid: It’s not about where you’re born. It’s about whether you’re Jewish or non-Jewish. Your ethnicity determines your rights and level in the racial hierarchy.”

The post continues, “Israel is an exclusive ethnostate, established to serve one ethnic group at the expense of another.”

Altamimi went a step further by adding his own comment, which said, “Israel is a racist European ethnostate built on stolen land from its indigenous population!”

His words “stolen land” and “indigenous population” are used regularly in the United States to describe the colonization of our country.

Altamimi started working as a Legislative Assistant for the Democratic Senator in November. Ocasio-Cortez herself has called Israel an “Aparteid state” in the past, tweeting in May of this year, “Aparteid states aren’t democracies.” However, her office declined to comment when Fox News reached out for this story.

Fellow ‘Squad’ member, Rashida Tlaib (D-MI), has also been amenable to the anti-Israel movement. Her campaign is reported to have paid Rasha Mubarak’s firm over $100,000 for “fundraising consulting.” Mubarak is a known anti-Israel activist and also a proponent of the defund the police movement.

Overall, those on the progressive Left seem intent on attacking Israel, our Middle Eastern ally.
