On Friday, 18-year-old Kyle Rittenhouse was acquitted of all charges against him in his trial for the fatal shooting of two BLM rioters during the racial riots in Kenosha in August of 2020.
Countless celebrities took to Twitter to voice their opinions about the Rittenhouse’s verdict. In no surprise, many in Hollywood were enraged at what they believe to be an injustice that further strengthened ideals of white supremacy.
Former host of the children’s television show Reading Rainbow LeVar Burton said on Twitter:
Tell me again there are not two kinds justice in America!

Famous actor and singer Josh Gad also voiced frustration on Twitter:
It has now been put it out there that vigilantes can just go and kill people protesting issues like racial equality whenever they want and get away with it. Think about that for a second.

Former NFL star and current radio and television personality Emmanuel Acho said:
I’m saddened, but not surprised.
I’m sick, but not shocked.
I’m disgusted, but not derailed.Equality is not a finish line we cross, but a road we travel. I’m reminded we still have a great distance to go. #KyleRittenhouse

Former NFL quarterback and self-proclaimed political analyst Colin Kaepernick also shared his thoughts, calling Rittenhouse a “white supremacist” even though many, including the jury, argued that Rittenhouse acted in self-defense:
We just witnessed a system built on white supremacy validate the terroristic acts of a white supremacist.
This only further validates the need to abolish our current system. White supremacy cannot be reformed.

NBA star and proverbial proponent of leftist agendas LeBron James remained uncharacteristically silent immediately after the verdict, despite drawing much attention to himself during the trial when he took to Twitter to tastelessly poke fun at Rittenhouse’s emotional testimony.
President Joe Biden joined in the rhetoric saying that the decision made him “angry and concerned” while also saying that “the jury has spoken.”
