The Houston Astros avenged a game 1 loss to the Atlanta Braves in the 2021 World Series with a 7-2 victory in game 2 on Wednesday night.
The Astros drove in four runs in the second inning and coasted to victory in a series that has not yet had the excitement and intrigue that fans hope for in the Fall Classic. Jose Altuve capped the night for the Astros by sending a ball just inside the left-field foul poll in the 7th inning giving him 22 career postseason home runs. The shot places Altuve second on the all-time list for postseason home runs, tied with former Yankees slugger Bernie Williams.

He remains seven home runs behind former Red Sox star Manny Ramirez, who leads the all time list with 29 career playoff homers.
The series is tied at 1-1, and the teams now head to Atlanta where game 3 will take place on Friday night.
