The 2021 World Series is set, as the Houston Astros and Atlanta Braves each won their respective League Championship Series over the weekend to punch their ticket to the fall classic. Both teams won their series in six games, and both were able to celebrate in front of their home crowds.
The Astros secured their bid on Friday evening after Kyle Tucker hit a 3-run home run in the 8th inning to put an explanation mark on their 5-0 win over the Boston Red Sox. This marks the third time the Astros have been in the World Series since 2017. However, it marks the first time they have returned to the stage since it was revealed in 2019 that they had cheated on their way to becoming the 2017 World Champions.

In the National League, the Braves beat the Los Angeles Dodgers 4-2 on Saturday, after Eddie Rosario hit a 3-run shot of his own in the 4th to give Atlanta all the runs they would need to advance. This is the first time the Braves have returned to the baseball finale since 1999, after being perennial contenders throughout the 90s, having appeared in five World Series throughout the decade. The Braves shocked the baseball world, clinching the weak NL East with only 88 wins but catching fire in the playoffs.

Game 1 will take place Tuesday night in Houston. The Astros will have home field advantage in the best of seven series, with games one and two in Houston, then games three and four in Atlanta. If necessary, game five will be in Atlanta, and games six and seven back in Houston.
