The 2021 MLB playoffs continue to take shape, as three teams have advanced to the League Championship Series.
Both the Astros and the Braves advanced to their league’s championship series Tuesday night, sending home the White Sox and the Brewers in the process. Braves 1st baseman Freddie Freeman said that he had the “coolest moment” of his career when he hit a dramatic homerun in the 8th inning to give the Brave’s a come-from-behind lead.

The game-winning homerun was even more thrilling because it came off the Brewer’s dominant closer, Josh Hader, who had never given up a postseason home run and had only given up 7 home runs to lefties in his career.
The Braves will await the winner of the Dodgers/Giants series to see who they will face for the National League’s World Series bid. The Dodgers and Giants finished with the two best records in baseball, and their division series has lived up to its hype thus far. The series has gone back and forth, with San Francisco winning games 1 and 3 and Los Angeles taking games 2 and 4. The teams will meet Thursday night in a winner-take-all game 5 in San Francisco.
On the American League side the Astros dominated the White Sox 10-1 to advance. They will face the Boston Red Sox in the American League Championship Series. Boston upset their division rival Tampa Bay Rays in the ALDS, taking the series in four games.
The Red Sox clinched the series in dramatic fashion, winning games 3 and 4 in walk-off fashion. In game 3, Christian Vasquez hit a two-run homerun to win it for the Sox:
