On Sunday night President Trump signed the latest Covid-19 relief bill. The $2.3 trillion omnibus package is 5,600 pages long, part of which provides $600 dollars in direct payments to Americans.
For the last few days the president has railed against the bill for wasteful spending, while not providing direct financial support to the people.
I simply want to get our great people $2000, rather than the measly $600 that is now in the bill. Also, stop the billions of dollars in “pork”.

In a statement Trump said he will send a “redlined” version of the bill with “item by item” suggestions for cuts.
I will sign the Omnibus and Covid package with a strong message that makes clear to Congress that wasteful items need to be removed. I will send back to Congress a redlined version, item by item, accompanied by the formal rescission request to Congress insisting that those funds be removed from the bill.
In addition to these edits the president is pushing Congress to increase the direct relief payments to $2,000 for individuals, remove section 230 of the Communication Decency Act that protects big tech companies from lawsuits, and conduct a congressional investigation into alleged voter fraud.
