Capitol police arrested hundreds of anti-Israel protesters Wednesday after they stormed the Cannon House office building on Capitol Hill, demanding a ceasefire in the Israel-Hamas war.
The protesters belonged to two far-left Jewish groups, Jewish Voice for Peace and If Not Now, both of which advocate against the state of Israel. Over 300 people were arrested for refusing to leave the complex, including three people who were charged with assaulting a police officer.
Protesters also marched around the House side of the Capitol Complex, forcing the Capital Police to enact temporary road closures.
This comes as 30 people were arrested outside the White House in a similar protest on Monday.
