GOP witness and George Washington University law professor Jonathan Turley made headlines saying that Republicans’ evidence may not be enough to impeach.
Democrats ran with Turely’s comment as a means of discrediting the impeachment inquiry. But they ignored his next comment about the need for an inquiry into the issue.
In his closing remarks, House Oversight Chair James Comer (R-Ky.) more or less agreed with Turley, saying the investigation is still ongoing. Comer says he plans to subpoena bank records belonging to Hunter Biden, James Biden, and their companies as the next step of the investigation.
