Despite the bumps in the second Republican debate, some candidates were able to have their breakout moments for better or worse.

For instance, businessman Vivek Ramaswamy gave a direct and passionate answer on the transgender issue.

It wasn’t always easy going for Vivek. He became the target of an aggressive Nikki Haley, who accused him of being friendly with China after he dodged a question about banning TikTok.

But what was arguably one of the biggest moments of the night came courtesy of Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, who broke through the fray to tout his record.

DeSantis walked away from the debate with the most speaking time, clocking in at 12 minutes and 17 seconds, 9 seconds more than Ramaswamy. And he clearly thinks he did a good job.

Following the event, DeSantis directly challenged Donald Trump to a one-on-one debate.
