West Virginia Sen. Joe Manchin is considering bailing on the Democratic Party.
He told West Virginia radio host Hoppy Kercheval that he can’t accept either party and is seriously considering ending his long-time affiliation with the left.
Manchin has been vocal about criticizing Democrats. He says the party was once socially compassionate and fiscally responsible.
But now the centrist feels like he has no voice in a party that’s gone Far Left. Sen. Krysten Sinema of Arizona, who also opposed a key Biden agenda item last year, left the party eight months ago.
Manchin must also decide if he’s running for a fourth Senate term or as a third-party presidential candidate. He’s supposed to announce that decision at the end of this year.
