Missouri has joined the growing number of states installing Safe Haven Baby Boxes, where mothers in crisis can safely surrender their newborns.

It’s the first baby box in the state, giving Missouri mothers a safe, legal, and anonymous way to surrender their babies. Since the first baby box was installed in 2017, 34 infants in the United States have been given another chance at life through this method.

This comes as a recent Cygnal poll revealed that 56% of voters support a federal abortion limit of 15 weeks. The number included a significant number of Democratic voters.
