While Christianity continues to be a source of controversy, the next generation is showing more interest than expected.
State of the Bible reports that 50% of the Gen Z generation believes in the traditional definition of God as “the all-powerful, all-knowing, perfect creator of the universe.” And about 58% of Gen Z adults identify as Christians.
However, overall engagement with the faith has seen a sharp drop in the past three years.
Nevertheless, Gen Z is still open to Christianity. According to State of the Bible, “nearly one in five Gen Z Non-Christians would consider eating a meal in a group where biblical issues are discussed.”
