More than 1 million people will gather at Iowa’s State Fair this week, including nearly every Republican presidential candidate.

The 10-day fair is a traditional campaign stop for candidates, especially since the state is the first to hold its primary elections.

Former Vice President Mike Pence was one of four GOP candidates on the fairgrounds Thursday and Friday. But the biggest showdown will be Saturday, when former President Donald Trump and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis make concurrent appearances.

The governor is still holding second place, but the latest Daily Mail poll shows DeSantis is losing ground in the Iowa. He was at 26% back in April. Now, he’s dropped to 17%.

And, to make a point, Trump is bringing nine Florida state representatives who have endorsed him over their own governor.

Meanwhile, South Carolina Sen. Tim Scott is building momentum. He announced his bid back in May but absorbed 11% of the votes in that recent poll.
