If you’re tired of sitting in traffic, wait no more. The first car designed to fly just received the green light for takeoff from the FAA.

California-based Alef Aeronautics unveiled an electric car that can, in theory, move both on the road and in the air just last year. The vehicle is designed to be able to lift above traffic, with the goal to make travel efficient and more environmentally friendly than conventional cars.

CEO Jim Dukhovny said that this may be a small step for planes, but a giant step for cars. The company’s current model available for purchase comes at a whopping $300,000 plus a downpayment ranging from $150-$1,500 to get in line for a pre-order.
