California-based hamburger chain In-N-Out is now banning masks for employees, citing “the importance of customer service.”
In a leaked internal memo, the faith-based company recently wrote that its goal is a continued commitment to “excellent customer service” and “unmatched standards for health, safety, and quality.” The memo further stated that associates won’t be allowed to wear masks unless they have a valid medical exemption.
And while the new policy will go into effect in August for five out of the seven states in which In-N-Out operates, California and Oregon will receive exceptions.
