It was a fiery day on Capitol Hill Wednesday. Republicans grilled top Biden officials in oversight hearings on the border crisis.

As in previous hearings, DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas didn’t give a number as to how many migrants have been released into the U.S. or how many have been removed.

Indiana Republican Rep. Victoria Spartz had similar criticisms. Meanwhile, in a separate hearing on the Exploitation of Migrant Children Virginia, Virginia Republican Rep. Morgan Griffith pressed HHS Secretary Xavier Becerra on the vetting process for child sponsors.

The hearing comes as HHS saw over 250,000 unaccompanied children cross the border between 2021 and 2022.
