U.S. Customs and Border Protection continues to capture terror suspects trying to enter the country, but the main threat isn’t coming from the southern border.
According to a report from the Center Square, the U.S. has apprehended over 460 known and suspected terrorists this fiscal year. The majority of them were apprehended at the northern border with Canada.
Since October, Border Patrol has captured over 280 people on the terror watch list along the northern border, compared to roughly 180 down south.
The U.S. border with Canada is the largest international border in the world, stretching more than 5,500 miles, dwarfing the under 2,000 miles the U.S. shares with Mexico.
While much of the focus has been on the southern border, back in March Congress formed a Security Caucus to focus on concerns coming from the north.
