Late last week, thousands gathered outside Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles to protest the team honoring the anti-Catholic the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence.

The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence is a group of drag queens that mocks nuns as well as the Gospel. They were previously disinvited by the Dodgers following public backlash.

But the team later announced it was re-inviting the group to present them with a local community award at the team’s pride night game. The event continued as scheduled in front of a mostly empty stadium on Friday night.

Protestors of all faiths claimed that the group was offensive to Christianity. For example, the group has been seen pole dancing on a recreation of the crucifixion of Christ.

The Dodgers later played the San Francisco Giants on Friday and lost 15-0.
