The Pentagon announced Tuesday that it had “overestimated” the amount of financial support it has given Ukraine by $6.2 billion. Pentagon spokeswoman Sabrina Singh said this was due to an “accounting error.”
Singh reported that the $6.2 billion miscalculation spread roughly even between fiscal years 2022 and 2023, but she added that the error didn’t have an impact on U.S. support for Ukraine.
