A recent Gallup poll found that the number of Americans who identify as pro-life rose 5 percentage points in the last year.
Those who identified as pro-life hit an all-time low among Americans at 39% in May of 2022. But the number rose to 44% this year.
Ultimately, the pro-lifers still have their work cut out for them, as those who identify as pro-choice stands at 52%, though it did fall three points in the last year.
But abortion remains an important issue on both sides of the aisle.
Almost a third of American voters say they would only vote for a candidate who shared their views on abortion. Over half of voters say that the issue is one of many factors.
