North Korean leaders promised to “annihilate the enemy,” as the country held massive weekend rallies in Pyongyang to mark the 73rd anniversary of the Korean War.
People shouted slogans vowing a “war of revenge” to destroy the United States, while others held signs saying “the whole U.S. mainland is within our shooting range.”
According to state media, about 120,000 took part in Sunday’s rally. This anniversary comes amid concerns North Korea might soon conduct another launch of its spy satellite after its first attempt failed last month.
