The NHL is backing out of the culture war. Commissioner Gary Bettman recently announced that teams will no longer wear special pride-themed jerseys during warmups.
Bettman says teams can still choose to hold special pride night events and sell pride-themed jerseys. The policy change comes after several players refused to wear pride-themed warm-up sweaters, citing their personal beliefs.
