Disney has reportedly lost almost $900 million in the past year, since the company decided to “diversify” its movies.

YouTube Financial analyst Valliant Renegade measured eight movies ranging from “Lightyear” to “Guardians of the Galaxy: Volume 3” to calculate the estimated loss.

Renegade said that the total cost of the movies came out to over $2.7 billion , with a total loss of about $890 million.

Renegade partially blamed Disney’s lack of post-theatrical distribution for its lack of profit. Meanwhile, the company has been in an ongoing dispute with Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, who has restricted Disney’s many financial benefits in the state.
