A deliberately engineered “bioweapon,” that’s what one researcher at the Wuhan Institute of Virology called COVID-19.

Researcher Chao Shao made the shocking comment in an interview with Chinese-born human rights activist Jennifer Zeng. Chao said one of his colleagues was tasked with determining what strain of coronavirus would be able to infect as many species as possible – with a particular emphasis placed on human transmission.

He went on to allege that some of his colleagues may have been involved in spreading the virus in the October 2019 Military World Games held in Wuhan. This comes as multiple U.S. government officials have suggested that the first three COVID patients infected were researchers at the Wuhan lab.

Meanwhile, the House Select Committee on the Coronavirus Pandemic is set to hold a hearing next month on whether the federal government and Dr. Anthony Fauci suppressed evidence relating to the lab leak theory.
