In the year 69 A.D., only 80 years into its existence, the Roman Empire was on the verge of collapse. After the tenures of both Nero and Galba, Rome was ruled by two of the shortest reigns in its history as it sought to remake itself. Those two were Emperor Otho and Emperor Vitellius.
